Text Box: Alan Gilmour Friendship Cup Match - 2005 Gary Mackie and friends paid tribute to Alan Gilmour who tragically died in a motor accident, by organising an annual event in his memory. Alan’s friends donated the Friendship Cup to be played for annually by members of Westend Bowling Club and bowling friends from Fife. The match comprised of mixed pairs playing in a qualifying round, followed by a knockout stage . The Final was fought out between Roy Bogie/George Ritchie against Sandy Welsh/Jim Hepburn, both pairs from Westend Bowling Club. The event was also sponsored by Willie Gray who has pledged his support in the forthcoming years.
